As a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, I know firsthand how important it is to elect candidates who have our back. That is why I am proud to support Ed McBroom for state Senate.

While serving as a state representative, McBroom wasn’t afraid to fight for us. He successfully fought to clean up our veterans’ homes so those who serve receive the care they deserve.

After investigating the disgusting incidents that occurred at the Grand Rapids Veterans Home, McBroom and his committee took action. Because of the reforms enacted, the Jacobetti and Grand Rapids homes received clean audits thereafter.

In addition, Ed also worked to modernize health care for vets and increased veterans appropriations funding by over 40 percent.

Ed McBroom has a record of supporting our veterans. That is why I will be voting for him on Nov. 6, and I hope you do, too.
