God gene is found in mirror

To the editor:

In response to the letter titled: “Religion is solely based on faith” by: David M. Keranen. “The resurrection of Jesus is just a matter of faith.” Wow, bet David didn’t get that idea out of a science book. Forget religion David; keep on looking and you will find the God of the Bible; although he’s not the one that’s lost.

I enjoy science. I watch the science channel on TV all the time. There are many interesting theories and good graphics. Did you know science is looking for a God Gene? They have what they call an atom smasher and all kinds of other cool tools to work with.

I also watch Ancient Aliens. That’s very interesting; some believe God was an ancient alien. Have you ever heard of The Flat Earth Society? They really believe the earth is flat and give a strong argument for there belief.

All these theories are based on man’s imagination. Imagination can be a good thing and of course a bad thing. People imagine something in their mind then they begin to build on that idea, and we end up with a wheel, airplane, rocket the next thing we know we’re on the moon. Sad to say almost every good thing can be used by twisted imaginations to destroy not enhance society. When we imagine something we picture it in our minds; though invisible we can work on it so it becomes a reality.

Faith is kind of like that. We have faith in God and the Holy Spirit that lives in every born-again believer in Jesus Christ. I have faith that the spirit of God will lead and guide me in all that I do and wherever I go.

So I walk by faith not by sight. David, it may not be proven scientifically but it has kept me on the path of righteousness for 49 years come March 9, 2019. That was the day I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and was truly born again.

Science does not have to look very far to find the “God Gene.” Just look in the mirror. (Genesis 1:26)

Now read what the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 1:18-22. Study verses 19 and 20 then 22. This is reality; “as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.”
