To the editor:

The Keweenaw is a place where people value their clean water for fishing and swimming, and their working forests for hiking, hunting and timber.

We care about and for our neighbors.

We care about whether we and our neighbors can afford power and health care.

We value our children’s education and the teachers who provide it.

We deserve elected officials who share these values.

If you want to find out more about politicians who share our values, go to keweenawvotes.com. It’s a website put together by a group Houghton and Keweenaw county residents to highlight local candidates who deserve our votes.

If you want a voice in the laws, rules and tone of the county, state, and country, then you need to vote on Tuesday.

In the 2016 elections and the elections since, we have watched races be decided by as a few as a single vote (with a tie in Virginia!) Don’t let you vote be the one that was missing.
