Eagle Scouts thank businesses

To the editor:

I just recently completed my Eagle Scout project, replacing the asphalt sidewalks with pavers at Daniell Park in Laurium. It would not have been possible without the help of the following, whom I thank for their support: Superior Block, Superior Sand and Gravel, Sherwin-Williams, A-1 Toilets, the Village of Laurium Council, Calumet Electronics, CLK Rotary, American Legion Post 90, American Legion Post 61, CLK VFW Post 3900, Aspirus Keweenaw, Bodies in Balance, Loralee Miller and Miller’s Recreation, Amy Schneiderhan and Salon 1281, Mrs. Dolly Luoma, Carey & John Sullivan, Betty & Bill Zei, Tom & Donna Cole, Antonia Burich, and so many friends and family–the list is too long to mention individually.

I’d also like to thank the leaders and Scouts of Boy Scout Troop 207 in Hancock. Without their support, which included a large amount of manual labor, I would not have seen this project completed so quickly. They did a great job!

I appreciate the many donations, words of wisdom and kindness from those who guided me through this process. I hope that the residents of Laurium enjoy their new walkways for many years to come–it was thrilling to see the finished product.
