Lakes dinner support

To the editor:

The student athletes and coaches at Lake Linden-Hubbell would like to thank the many parents, community members and local businesses that donated their time or made monetary donations to the 4th Annual Fall Fundraiser Dinner held on Saturday, September 21 at the Bootjack Firehall.

The dinner was a huge success because of the many spirited and dedicated parent volunteers and generous donations from local businesses.

The Lake Linden-Hubbell Sports Booster Club supports all athletics and athletes grades 7-12. Money raised by the Booster Club is used to purchase new uniforms for the teams, and all new equipment needed each season.

Many thanks to the hard working volunteers who prepared the food: John Hodges, Lori Ambeuhl, Ayla Skipton and Todd Sarazin. The night would not have been a success without MC Robbie Miller, and donations received from the following:

Louies Fresh Markets, Koppers Inc, Dollar Bay Linoleum & Tile, Peninsula Powder Coating, DeMars Market, Door Solutions & Glass, Hodges Floor Covering & Instalation Inc, Moyle Construction, Peninsula Products, Reed Construction, Range Bank and Superior National Bank; Ace Hardware, Amora Wellness & Gifts, Beth Anderson, Aspirus Fitness Center, Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, Avenue Salon, Cafe Rosetta, Calumet Floral, Calumet Golf Course, Andy Crouch, Chopp-Kallio Insurance Agency, Karen Kaipio-Codere, Connie’s Kitchen, Copper Country Ford, Copper World, Cross Country Sports, Denali/Waterfront/The HUT, Bruce Destrampe, Dreamland, Drive Thru Depot, Finlandia University, Rodd Haltunen, IncredibleBank, JP’s Fast Track & Lube, Kari’s Klip N Kurl, KC Bonkers, Keweenaw Chevrolet, Kirkish Furniture, LLH Booster Club, LLH Coaches, LLH Schools, Loading Zone II, Newman Appliance, Northland Lawn Sport & Equipment, Northside Auto, Peterson’s Fish Market, Protea Floral Design, Quincy’s Restaurant, Red Carpet System, Red Jacket Media, Revive Salon, Sears Hometown Houghton, Superior Service Towing, The Mirror Barber Shop, Torch Lake Service, Tranquil Touch Massage, Sonora Hodges, UP Foods, UP Health Systems, Valley View Quarry and the many Parents/Booster members.
