Robert William Kangas

IONA, Idaho - Robert William "Robbie" Kangas, 38, of Iona, Idaho, passed away October 6, 2012, at his home.

He was born Nov. 24, 1973, in Hancock, and was raised by his mother, Gladys P. Eakin Kangas and Charles E. Kangas.

He lived the majority of his life in Michigan. Rob moved to the Idaho Falls area in December 2002, where he resided until his passing.

Rob had a great many interests, including bikes, cars, video games, music, and he really enjoyed movies. He will be sadly missed, as he brought many smiles to the world.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys.

Rob is survived by His brothers, Darren (Mikole) Andrews of Ammon, Idaho, and Dale (Loretta) Andrews of Green River, Wyo.; his sister, Debbie (Mike) Garbett of Evanston, Wyo.; his grandmother, Lillian Nevanpera; his uncle, Michael Eakin; his aunt, Betty Wiitala; along with various nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Final farewells were said by his family before his final journey at a memorial service held at Wood Funeral Home. Rob's final resting place will be "Home" in Toivola.

Memorial donations may be made to the Robert Kangas Memorial Fund at any branch of Westmark Credit Union.

The Wood Funeral Home in Idaho assisted the family.
