Artist Mary Wright, in hat, and Billy Cuff, look on as Kayla Korpela hammers a nail into a cedar shingle on the door of a re-created 100-year-old sauna. Work on the the sauna — located on the Finlandia University Quincy Green in Hancock — began in September, but languished uncompleted for months until Dec. 21. Several of Wright’s friends, including Cuff and Korpela, worked to get the roof and shingles put on the sauna. The sauna is meant to be part of FinnFest 2013 in June, and after the event, it will be moved to an as yet undetermined site in Hancock.
