LAURIUM - Henry Melvin Nichols, a resident of Laurium, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at his home.
Henry was born in Lansing, a son of Patricia and the late Melvin Nichols. He was a graduate of Orange High School in Redlands, Calif. with the class of 1984.
Henry worked for the United States Department of Agriculture for six years.
On Oct. 17, 1997, he married the former Connie Hurley in Indiana.
Henry was a guy who loved to ride motorcycles, craft things out of wood, cooking and a wide variety of music. He enjoyed going camping and spending time with his family. His pasttime activities were reading, computers and playing Dungeons and Dragons and Lord of the Rings games with friends.
Henry is survived by his wife, Connie; his mother, Patricia (Edward) Patterson. He was the loving father of five sons, Devon, Samual and Joshua Nichols of Tex., Cody Nichols and Devin Wright both of Laurium; a daughter, Hannah Nichols of Laurium; brothers, Devon Nicholas of Salinas, Calif. and William Nicholas of Calif.; sisters, Cassandra (Derek) Dronet of Calumet and Amy (Robert) Teske of the Netherlands; aunt, Bonnie Worden; uncle, Joe Worden.
