Finlandia men lose early lead at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - Finlandia's two-goal lead after 20 minutes dissipated quickly Friday, as Adrian scored five unanswered goals and won their Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association matchup 5-3.

The Lions (7-17-0, 7-12-0 MCHA)?had the one-loss Bulldogs on the ropes in the first period after power-play goals from Cody Essel and Dino Burggrabe, but Adrian responded with four in the first 8:02 of the second period.

The Bulldogs added another midway through the third before?Shigenobu Kakudate's consolation goal with 3:51 to play.

The Lions got 35 saves from Troy Chandler.

Elsewhere in MCHA?play, Lawrence grabbed a 2-1 win over Lake Forest and Northland defeated Milwaukee School of Engineering 5-4 in overtime, creating a three-way tie for the last two playoff spots in the North Division.
