MOHAWK - Robert Arthur Winquist, 75, of Mohawk, passed away on Friday, Mar. 1, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1938, in Mohawk, a son of the late Arthur and Alma (Tolonen) Winquist. He graduated from Calumet High School with the Class of 1956.
In 1962, he was united in marriage to the former Marilyn Maynarich, observing their 50th wedding anniversary in 2012.
Bob had been employed by Gerald Patrick Forest Products, the Longyear Company and the Keweenaw Research Center.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Robert of Holt, Mich. and Eric (Pam) of Canton; daughter, Linda of Snowmass Village, Colo.; grandchidlren, Alex, Megan Keeli and Braden; brother, Rodney (Lois) Winquist of Calumet; sisters, Carol (Bud) Patrick of Mohawk and Nancy (Daniel) Oja of Mohawk; aunt, Barbara Keen of Plymouth, Mich.; brothers-in-law, Robert and William Maynarich; sisters-in-law, Jean McGrew and Carolyn Olsen; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Mar. 5, 2013, at noon in the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet with Pastor Tim Johnston to officiate. Friends may call in the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
