To the editor:
Dear Copper Country Residents:
Recently my husband, former City of Houghton Chief of Police, Ralph Raffaelli passed away suddenly. The time since then has been extremely trying, however many people have provided a great deal of support. I would like to thank all those who have contributed, especially: Dr. William Anderson, Dr. Jon Neufeld, the Emergency Room Department, and staff at Portage Health Systems; Adams Township First Responders; Mercy Ambulance; Neil Ahola of Memorial Chapel Funeral Home; City of Houghton; City of Houghton Police Department; Chief John Donnelly; Houghton County Sheriff Department; City of Hancock Police Department; Special Neighbors Robert Kampinen, Bruce Ruddman, and Doug Morin; Father John Martignon, St. Ignatius Loyola Parish of Houghton, and Holy Family Parish of South Range; and all the friends and family who have kindly expressed their sympathy and support during this time.
Please accept my sincere gratitude for all you have said and done to ease the pain of Ralph's passing. He will be greatly missed, but is honored by the outpouring of love by you and the Copper Country community that he loved.
