CALUMET - Ann Marie Matuszewski, devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully slipped into God's arms in the early morning of November 11, 2013.
A native of Calumet, Ann left her large and loving extended family 13 years ago to relocate to Purcellville, Virginia for job-related reasons. Ann's greatest joy was raising her beloved son, David, and spending time with husband, Ken. Friends, family, and colleagues old and new will miss Ann's quick wit, spunk and humorous updates on David's latest escapades.
Ann is survived by her husband of 17 years, Kenneth G. Matuszewski; four-year-old son, David; mother, Leonore Gherna; sister and brother-in-law, Charmaine and Jon Urbanski; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Michael Panijan; sister-in-law, Anne Piorkowski and husband, Tom; brother-in-law, Joe Matthews and wife, Tanya; nephew, Jesse Grathoff and his wife, Holly and daughter, Gillian; niece, Mary Grathoff and daughter, Skylar; nephew, John Grathoff and wife, Dawn; nephew, Joseph Panijan; niece, Katie Piorkowski; and nephews, Mark and John Matthews.
A celebration of Ann's life will be held on December 23 in Erickson-Crowley-Peterson Funeral Home in Ann's home town of Calumet, with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery.
