ONTONAGON - Lake Linden's Jerry Buschell extended his unbeaten streak to three years in the Pro Mod 700 class, also took the Open Mod class and reached the Top Gun feature at last weekend's U.P. Championship Snow Drags.
The event is organized by MASTERS, the Mid-America Snow and Expert Terrain Racers.
Iron River, Mich., racer Louie Goldbach won the Top Gun feature over his teammate Chris Nordang (last year's champion) and Buschell.
In addition to winning Pro Mod 700, Buschell took advantage of Goldbach's jumping the start in the Open Mod final.
Matt LaCosse of Champion won firsts in both Pro Mod 500 and 600.
Adam Hawkins of Ontonagon was the inaugural winner of the Race Stock 600 class.
A pair of local drivers locked horns in the Vintage Division classes, with Kevin Hokens of Ontonagon and Heather Lynn Maki of L'Anse splitting the two classes.
The next MASTERS event is Feb. 1 in Sagola.
The Mid-America Championship Hillclimb will be Feb. 15 in Caspian.
