AURA - Andrew Arne Koski, 23, of Aura, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 in Marquette, where he had been residing for the past 6 months.
He was born December 31, 1990 in Hancock, son of Steven and Anne (Sands) Koski.
Andy grew up in Aura, and graduated from L'Anse High School in 2009 then went to Northern Michigan University for two years. He worked for Indian Country Sports, a short while for L'Anse Manufacturing, and then for No-Shank manufacturing.
Andy was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in L'Anse. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking, hiking, camping, and engineering.
Surviving are his parents, Steve and Anne Koski of Aura; brother, Tom Koski of Wenatchee, Wash.; sister, Kasey (Zeb Postelwait) Koski of Wenatchee, Wash.; paternal grandparents, Roy and Eila Koski of Aura; niece, Ruby Therese Koski; nephews, Xendrik and Kaolin Postelwait; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Glenn Sands.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 16th from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Jacobson Funeral Home.
Parish prayers will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 17th at 11 a.m. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church with Fr. Corey Litzner officiating.
Burial will be in the spring in the Aura Cemetery.
The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
