Lions reach deal with ex-Packer WR Allison

ALLEN PARK (AP) — The Detroit Lions agreed to terms with wide receiver Geronimo Allison.

The Lions announced the move Sunday. The 26-year-old Allison comes to Detroit from division rival Green Bay. He caught 34 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns last season.

Allison played the past four seasons with the Packers. Wide receiver was a position of strength for Detroit last season, with Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola each surpassing 60 catches and 600 yards receiving.

The Lions did not announce contract terms.

Vikings re-sign Dozier

EAGAN, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have signed veteran guard Dakota Dozier.

The team announced the re-signing of the Furman product, who played in 16 games last season with a career-high four starts. He originally joined Minnesota as a free agent last April 4.

Dozier was drafted by the New York Jets in the fourth round (137th overall) of the 2014 NFL draft. He has appeared in 54 career games with 11 starts.
