Lakes down Bulldogs in straight sets to earn a victory

HANCOCK — The Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes volleyball team defeated the Hancock Bulldogs Thursday in straight sets, 25-17, 25-16, 25-16.

Alyssa Burton led the way for the Lakes with 10 kills. Mariah Willmer also had a strong night with six kills. Where Willmer really shined was in the service game, where she racked up seven aces.

Jamie Hendrickson chipped in three acs and two kills as well while picking up 16 assists. She was also good defensively with seven digs.

Defensively, Jocelyn Perala was strong, picking up 22 digs to lead the way. McKenna Keranen added seven digs.
