Top senior athletes: Lakes name outstanding senior athletes
LAKE LINDEN — Lake Linden-Hubbell High School recently named their senior athletes at a ceremony held at the school.
Kellen Klein was named Outstanding Male Athlete while Mackenzie LePage was named Outstanding Female Athlete.
Klein is the son of Jeff and Melissa Klein. During his high school career, he was a member of the football, track, and baseball teams and the Jeffers hockey team.
He earned 10 varsity letters and was named All-Conference at running back in football. He was also a four-time All-State relay team member and sprinter in track.
Klein is one of the Lakes’ valedictorians for 2019 and has plans to major in nursing at Northern Michigan University.
LePage is the daughter of Todd and Debbie LePage. During her high school career, she was a member of the volleyball, basketball, track and softball teams. She earned 12 varsity letters in that time.
She was named to the second team All-Conference in basketball as well as earning team Most Valuable Player honors. She was also named All-State in pole vault twice as well as being named Copper Mountain Conference Jumper of the Year in track.
LePage plans to study ski area management at Gogebic Community College.
