Gervais named Lake Linden-Hubbell football coach

LAKE LINDEN — Brett Gervais has been named the next football coach at Lake Linden-Hubbell.

The news came Monday night in a press release from Lakes athletic director Jack Kumpula.

Gervais, a 2011 LL-H graduate, played four years at Michigan Tech as a defensive back and was a Division II All-American. He has been an assistant coach for the Lakes the last three seasons and takes over for longtime coach Andy Crouch.

Lake Linden-Hubbell moved to 8-player football following the 2019 season. The Lakes went 6-3 last season and won the first round of the playoffs against West Iron County. They were then upended in the second round to Ishpeming.

The press release did not say why Crouch left the program.
