TAPIOLA — It will be Baraga and Houghton for the championship of the Over 50 Softball League playoffs next Monday.

Baraga earned its spot in the finals with a 7-3 win over South Range Thursday.

Mitch Lake was the winning pitcher, giving up nine hits. Joe Rossi allowed 14 raps in defeat.

Pat Duguay rapped out three hits for Baraga, while Jerry Fish, Daryl Putala, Jed Poilard, Charlie Kemppainen and John Knuuttila added two hits each.

Dick Franti and Dan Svoke picked up two hits for South Range.

The title game is set for 6:15 p.m. on Monday, with Baraga needing a victory to force an extra game. Houghton is undefeated in the playoffs.
