Tech women have No. 1 NCAA tournament seed; men have No. 2 seed
The Michigan Tech women’s basketball team took the No. 1 seed and has a bye in the first round of the NCAA Midwest Regional.
The Huskies (20-1) face the winner of Grand Valley State and Ashland on Saturday in their 20th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. Tech has a school-record 18-game win streak going into the tournament.
The tournament is hosted by No. 2 Drury in Springfield, Missouri.
The Elite Eight is March 23-26 in Columbus, Ohio.
MTU men have No. 2 tournament seed
The Huskies men has the No. 2 seed for their own appearance in the NCAA Midwest Regional. Tech opens the tournament Sunday with a bye to face the winner of No. 3 Southern Indiana and No. 6 Lewis.
It’s the second straight NCAA Tournament appearance for the Huskies (14-7)
The tournament is hosted by USI in Evansville, Indiana.
The Elite Eight is March 24-27, also in Evansville.
