Usitalo/Arko win Grandparent/Grandchild title at PLGC
HOUGHTON — Grandpa Mike Usitalo and grandson Connor Arko from Houghton won the recent Grandparent/Grandchild tournament at Portage Lake Golf Course on June 28.
The team had three birdies and no bogeys for a score of 33 on the nine hole tournament.
Finishing in a tie for second place was the team of Grandpa Paul Sintkowski Sr. and and grandson Jackson Sintkowski from Hancock and grandpa Tom Romps Sr. and grandson Marino Pisani. Both teams shot one under par 35.
The first flight winners were grandma Deb Young and grandson Wyatt Young with a score of 40. The team of grandpa Mike Sayen and grandson Jack Sayen tied the Youngs but lost in a tiebreaker. In third place of the first flight was grandpa Randy Bloomfield and grandson Connor Kamm with a score of 41.
Closest to the Pin was won by Marino Pisani.
