Gremlins hockey falls to Highlanders, 4-2

HOUGHTON — Despite a pair of second period goals, the Houghton Gremlins hockey team fell to the Howell Highlanders Saturday, 4-2, at Dee Stadium.

Brody Donnelly and Jace DeForge both scored for the Gremlins in the middle frame. Porter Markham, Jay Halonen, and Jack Sayen all earned assists in the game.

Rory Sturos led the Highlanders with a pair of goals. Ben Huotari and Daniel Avery also scored.

The Gremlins went 0-for-5, which did not help their cause.

Brycyn Nettell stopped 20 of 24 shots in the loss.
