First place in the Division 1 Fair photo competition, 2019

Eight representatives of the Houghton County Fair attended the annual Michigan Association of Fairs and Exhibitions in Grand Rapids.

Houghton County Fair received a first place award in the Division 1 Fair photo competition. The picture was of a market steer exhibitor, Alia Palosaari of Chassell with her steer named “Johnny”, taken during the 2019 county fair. This picture was taken by our volunteer fair photographer Taana Blom.

Houghton County Fair also received a first place award in Division 1 for printed material – Brochure.
