Jennifer Barhorst

She graduated from Houghton High School with the class of 1985. She received an associate’s degree from Soumi College and a bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technological University.

She was a member of the Plymouth, MN, Apostolic Lutheran Church.

She was united in marriage to Marvin Barhorst on May 8, 2010, and the couple resided in Mounds View, MN.

She worked for various banks in the Minneapolis, MN, area.

She enjoyed scrapbooking, knitting and photography.

Preceding her in death were her mother Louise, her husband Marvin, on December 13, 2021, and her brother-in-law: Jay Seppanen.

Surviving are: her father Milton Erva and siblings, Joanne (George) Pennala, Marilyn (Brian) Haapapuro, Sue (Mike) Laajala, Dennis (Betsa) Erva, Colleen Erva, Michael (Noreen) Erva and Jason (Kelly) Erva along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service for Jennifer will be held 7 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022, at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton with Mark Halonen to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Oskar Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton.
