Dixon hearing reset for June 28

HOUGHTON — The review hearing for a Hancock man charged with a November murder in Houghton has been rescheduled. Evan Dixon, 60, will appear in 97th District Court on June 28. The hearing had originally been set for last Friday. In January, he was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation to determine if he is competent to stand trial. Dixon is accused of being the shooter of Theron Duncan, 53, of Houghton, who was killed at the Douglass House Saloon on Nov. 17. No motive is known for the shooting. HANCOCK — Hancock police are looking to identify two people believed to have stolen from several businesses inside Hirvonen Hall Friday morning. The stolen items were enough to constitute a felony, police said in a Facebook post Friday afternoon.
