CALUMET — Michael A. Fountaine, 64, of Calumet passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024 at the Omega House in Houghton, Michigan. Mike had a lifelong love of music and a favorite past time was going out and singing karaoke. He also started picking wild berries at a young age at his Grandma Milma’s house in Osceola, which turned into picking berries throughout his life. You would often find Mike riding his bike to his berry picking spots. For many years he lived with and was a caregiver to his mom up until her passing. Surrounded by her loving family, she died peacefully following a five-year battle from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
