AHMEEK — John Anton Spagnotti of Ahmeek, Michigan passed away on August 20, 2024 at the Omega House in Houghton, Michigan. John was born on January 1, 1948 in Laurium, Michigan to Anniable and Marcella (Hocking) Spagnotti. After his schooling, John went on to become a member of the US military, serving in the Army for 25 years. John then went on to work for Hertz Corporation in Texas, which he retired from in 2014. MILWAUKEE — James Owen “Jamie” Plough died on June 19 2024, at home in Milwaukee, at the age of 77, from natural causes. Jim grew up in Houghton, MI, son of Robert and Elma Plough, and graduated from Houghton High School in 1965. Varsity basketball was his go-to sport, and often after a game, he was known to toast and devour an entire loaf of bread, and then call it a night.
