OAK CREEK, WI — Marilyn A. Laru (Maltz), age 88, a resident of Oak Creek, WI, and formerly a Copper Country resident passed away July 12, 2023, at the Compassus/Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI. She was born to Herbert and Agnes (Stitt) Maltz in Trimountain, MI. Later the family moved to Painesdale. Marilyn graduated from Jeffers High School with the Class of 1953. On June 6, 1953, she married Richard Laru. They were best friends for more than 72 years at the time of his death in 2019 and married for 66 years of those years.
