If you’ve been washing your hands regularly for the last few weeks, chances are you’ve grown tired of counting to twenty as you scrub down. Too many questions left unanswered in our community

The Founding Fathers understood that a constitutionally protected free press functions as a watchdog in a democratic society, by which it brings the public the information they need to exercise independent judgement in electing public officials who champion policies the people support. They also understood perfectly that a free press is an essential part of a democratic society, because part of the function of the press is to enable people to make informed choices, not only in politics, but in everyday situations. Congratulations Calumet Copper Kings hockey

On Wednesday evening, the Calumet Copper Kings hockey team punched their ticket to the state quarterfinals on Saturday by defeating the Houghton Gremlins, 5-1. The Copper Kings looked tentative early in the contest, as did the Gremlins, but once Houghton grabbed an early lead, Caluemet kept pushing and pushing until they found a way to get mutiple pucks past Gremlins goaltender Jimmy Pietila and earn their second trip beyond the Region 17 tournament in the past four years. Head coach Dan Giachino, who will be stepping down as the leader of the Copper Kings after the season ends, is ...
