ROGERS, MN — Mark Pikkarainen, age 65, a resident of Rogers, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. A funeral service for Mark Pikkarainen will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hancock, Michigan at noon. There will be a two hour visitation prior to the service from 10:a.m. to noon at the church. Mark will be laid to rest in Lake View Cemetery in Calumet, Michigan following the service. Steven “Stosh” Gordon Peterson of Copper City, Michigan passed away on September 8, 2026 at home. HOUGHTON — Sharon Kay Koskey, 67, of Houghton, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 6, 2026 following a lingering illness with family at her side. She was born in Hancock on May 25, 1959 to the late Roman and Ruth Koskey. Sharon was a 1977 graduate of Houghton High School and then attended Michigan Tech University. She relocated downstate where she began a career in the banking industry. Sharon moved back to Houghton and continued working in the banking industry until her retirement. ONTONAGON — William “Bill” Frank Eckloff of Ontonagon, passed away on September 8, 2026 at UPHS Marquette. Bill was born on February 24,1934 in Copper City, Michigan, a son of the late John and Evelyn “Martin” Eckloff. He attended school at Calumet and later graduated from White Pine. On July 24, 1953 he and the love of his life Jean Stubenrauch eloped in Mississippi. Bill’s first job was as a dishwasher at age 14 in Colorado.
