BOOTJACK — Raymond Edward Lasanen (73) a resident of Bootjack, passed away on Sunday, July 12th, 2026, at UP Health System - Marquette in surrounded by his family. Ray was born on July 14th, 1952, to Wesley and Florence (Spath) Lasanen in Hancock. He attended Lake Linden High School and graduated in 1970. He started his career as a commercial fisherman and later worked for Michigan Technological University for 34 years, retiring in 2017. Ray also worked on many sea walls over the years.
