Gremlins volleyball falls to Miners in sweep

HOUGHTON — The Houghton Gremlins volleyball team fought hard Thursday, but could not overcome the visiting Negaunee Miners, who emerged with a three-set victory, 25-21, 26-24, and 25-22. Lydia Williams did everything she could to help the Gremlins win. She had 16 kills, nine digs, two blocks and an ace. Alyssa Northey added 23 digs to help pace the defense.
