HOUGHTON – The annual observance of Memorial Day will occur on Monday, May 30 in honor of those who have given their lives for our freedoms.

The Rangers VFW Post 6165 members and Auxiliary will conduct services at the following locations at the prescribed time. All members of the VFW and Auxiliary are urged to attend and participate in rendering honors.

Schedule of events:

– Members meet at the South Range VFW at 8 a.m. and leave for Winona at 8:30 a.m.

– Service at Winona Cemetery, 9:15 am

– Service at Toivola Cemetery 10 a.m.

– Service at Atlantic Mine Cemetery 11:15 a.m.

– Service at South Range Cemetery 11:45 a.m.

Lunch will be provided at the VFW Post 6165 in South Range following the day’s services. The public is invited and urged to attend services in their communities and join for lunch to acknowledge the immense sacrifices our service

members have made for America.
