SOUTH RANGE — The Rangers VFW Post 6165 has announced its Memorial Day schedule of events.

The annual observance of Memorial Day will occur on Monday in honor of those who have given their lives for our freedoms.

The VFW members and Auxiliary will conduct services at the following locations at the prescribed time. All members of the VFW and Auxiliary are urged to attend and participate in rendering honors.

Schedule of events:

– Members meet at the South Range VFW at 8 a.m. and leave for Winona at 8:30 a.m.

– Services at Winona Cemetery, 9:15 a.m.

– Services at Toivola Cemetery, 10 a.m.

– Services at Atlantic Mine Cemetery, 11:15 a.m.

– Services at South Range Cemetery, 11:45 a.m.

Lunch will be provided at the VFW Post 6165 in South Range following the days’ services. The public is invited and urged to attend services in their communities and join for lunch to acknowledge the immense sacrifices our service members have made for America.

The services will be officiated by Post Commander Robert Paavola and Post Adjutant Joseph A. Tormala.
