Bingo

• Every Sunday VFW Bingo in Chassell at the Post Home. Doors open at 2 p.m. and Bingo starts at 3 p.m. Any questions, call Donna at 906-523-4754.

• Bingo at the South Range Eagles every Wednesday at 2 p.m. Come join the fun.

Support Groups

• Caregiver Support Group — UPHS Home Health and Hospice-Portage offer an in-person Caregiver’s Support group on the second Tuesday of each month from 4 to 5 p.m. at the UPHS Hospice office, 901 W. Sharon Ave. Suite #1. For more information contact our office at 906-483-1160 option 2.

• Grief Support Group — UPHS Hospice-Portage offers an in-person, ongoing Grief Support group on the third Tuesday of each month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the St. Ignatius Education Center in Houghton. Open to all those who have lost a loved one.

Pinochle

Pinochle for seniors ages 60+ at the Calumet Elks Mondays from noon to 4 p.m.

Vets for Jesus

Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the VFW Post 4624 in Hubbell, located next to the Hubbell Post Office on M-26.

VetsForJesus is a veteran-led Bible study for veterans and whoever wants to come. Readings from the Bible are followed with discussion.

Soup’s On

Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Atlantic Mine will be hosting their Soup’s On free meals on the second Wednesday of each month. The meals can be picked up between 4 and 6 p.m. The meal contains soup, bread, fruit and a dessert.

Free diapers

Families who qualify, with children newborn to 36 months – Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m. Contact Life Outreach Center at 906-482-8681 for more information.

Babies and Babble

Summer Babies and Babble will be held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Tree House (850 W. Sharon Ave. Suite #6, Houghton) from 10 a.m. to noon. This playgroup is intended for children 18 months and under and their parents/guardians.

Wake UP Walks

City of Hancock and City of Houghton Wake UP walk. Weekly group walks starting Wednesday June 14 in Hancock and Monday June 19 in Houghton. Hancock walks will take place Wednesdays at 9 a.m. at the Scott Building Parking Lot. Houghton walks will take place Mondays, 9 a.m. at the Houghton Pier.

Yooperlele group

Yooperleles, a local ukulele group, meets at 6 p.m. Tuesdays in the Salvation Army building on Quincy Street in Hancock.
