All proceeds go to veterans and family support programs..

Other events include a variety of food vendors and music, as well as a handful of class reunions.

As for Negaunee Irontown-hosted events, the first will be the Pioneer Princess Pageant beginning at 7 p.m Thursday at the Negaunee High School Auditorium. On Friday, Negaunee will host the alumni softball finals and championship game at LaCombe Field.

On Saturday, the city of Negaunee will hold the Pioneer Days Parade. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Negaunee Senior Center. The parade will travel down Tobin Street to Iron Street before turning onto South Pioneer Avenue, then East Main Street followed by Brown Avenue and ending on Mitchell Avenue. Lineup for the parade begins at 10:30 a.m.

The city will also be hosting Music in the Park at Old Town from 2 – 7 p.m. Saturday. Music will be provided by DayDreamers as well as The Band Stetson. And beginning at dusk, the Negaunee fireworks display will take place over Teal Lake.

Due to a limited number of volunteers, Irontown is planning on having the Pioneer Days Celebration in a more condensed format, with the addition of safety precautions. While it may not have all the events as in the past, it is hoping to maintain a majority of the celebration and retain something for everyone to enjoy.
