One injured in OWI crash
STANTON TOWNSHIP — A man was arrested for operating while intoxicated after suffering minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Canal Road Sunday morning.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident about 3:29 a.m. Sunday. Mercy EMS transported the man to UP Health System — Portage for treatment.
Speed was also a factor, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Mercy EMS, Stanton Township first responders and fire, and Superior Service.
