Barnelopet organizers announce final times
HANCOCK — In the Barnelopet races over the weekend, young local ski racers put together some very good times over the course of the day.
More importantly, everyone had a good time.
“I talked to a number of families as they were going back to their cars at the end, and all said that they appreciated the sponsors and volunteers for all that they do to make this a successful event each year,” said Event Coordinator Wayne Stordahl. “The kids all said that they had fun and liked the medals.”
Corbin Eikenberry won the 6k race with a time of 41:10.
Emily Bow Pearce won the 4k with a time of 25:52. Molly Kisiel finished in 27:38, and Jerome Bow Pearce finished in 28:56.
In the 2k race, Jonathan Eikenberry won the race in a time of 13:33. Jack Sever (14:30) and Jack Andress (16:39) finished second and third.
Sophia Lawson won the 1k race with a time of 13:01. Rachel Dowden (13:04) and James Eikenberry (14:14) finished second and third, respectively.
