Sure signs of spring

Sue Johnson/Daily Mining Gazette The nice weather over the weekend finally provided opportunities for many to get out and do things they longed for all winter, like 2-year-old Mila Ellingson taking her Christmas present (from her grandmother) out for test spin around the park, aspiring to accomplish her first mode of independent transportation: a no-speed Strider. No speed today, but 24-speed next year!
Sue Johnson/Daily Mining Gazette The Chutes and Ladders playground at Ray Kestner Park was a place where families gathered as children of all ages got the opportunity to get outside and enjoy some free air. Elleanor Jennings, who is 15-months-old has not quite established independence for climbing and having fun on the larger apparatus. However, she definitely finds amusement swaying in the swing, with her parents Matt and Mary Jennings near by.
