MARQUETTE -- At its Tuesday meeting, the Marquette County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to send a letter to Delta Airlines.
The letter explains how the recent decision Delta has made to end flights from Sawyer International Airport to Minneapolis affect those who rely on that flight route for business and leisure travel.
"This is really an important flight because of the connections out west," Chairperson Gerry Corkin said at the meeting.
In the letter, the board is asking Delta to reconsider the decision to end the flight route and restore it immediately.
