CALUMET — Santa’s arrival at the Village Hall on Sixth Street Friday evening came at the perfect time to celebrate the Tree Lighting Ceremony in the park next to the Calumet Theatre.

To help put people in the Christmas spirit, Santa a cold spell and a snow storm with him, feeling there was not enough snow to make the Copper Country feel like Christmas.

With an intense wind from the north, revelers were invited into the Village Hall for hot cocoa and homemade bakery, while Santa visited with kids in the Council Chambers.
