Houghton County election results certified
No changes from unofficial totals
HOUGHTON — No vote totals changed in the official results for the Nov. 8 election in Houghton County.
The county Board of Canvassers met to certify the results Thursday morning.
The final results released by the county included numbers for individual write-in candidates; the unofficial results released Wednesday morning had listed the total number of write-in votes.
Totals for districts spanning multiple counties include the overall number of votes.
Those totals:
Village of Calumet
Martin Nicklaus Mueller received 66 votes for a four-year term, placing him behind three candidates for the three seats on the village council. In the race for two partial two-year terms, Cynthia Hruska Twardzik (68) and Matt Robert L’Esperance (64) were beaten by two other candidates.
Adams Township School District
Tyler John Kinnunen (111) was elected to the second board position over Amy Lynn Mattson (16).
Public Schools of Calumet, Laurium & Keweenaw
Adam Loukus (403) finishd behind two other candidates for two school board positions.
Elm River Township Schools
Julie Ann Koski (10) and Linda Jean LaJeunesse (11) were elected to two school board positions.
