HANCOCK — Construction on the Hancock High School parking lot began today and will continue to through July 19.

A Monday morning press release announced that there will be no parking in the front of the building for this time period. People needing to access the building are asked to park at the rear and take the sidewalk to the front of the building for access to the library or the high school to be let in the building.

The construction project includes a new road extending from the current entrance to the school on Campus Drive to an exit that will direct traffic to an exit point at Tomasi Drive creating a one-way traffic flow which will eliminate traffic congestion at the student drop-off and pick up areas at the front entrances of the middle school and high school.

Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
