ATLANTIC MINE — The Houghton County transfer station will temporarily only accept household trash due to a compactor failure. 

The Houghton County Materials Management Facility will not accept construction and debris material until the compactor is repaired. The county team will be working with its partners to make the repairs as soon as possible. The county hopes to have the compactor repaired soon and restore the facility to full operations in the near future.
