Michigan Tech hosts annual 41 North Film Festival

HOUGHTON — Michigan Tech will be hosting its annual 41 North Film Festival Nov. 7-10. The festival will include several feature films, such as Bad River (2024), Eternal You (2024), and the artificial intelligence-generated Eno (2024).

The festival’s over 20 films and shorts programs will be shown in the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts and Fisher Hall on Michigan Tech’s campus. All events are free and open to the public, and tickets are not required.

The festival’s goal is to offer the community, “an opportunity to see new films that take up important topics of the day, to facilitate engagement and discussion, and to provide opportunities to interact with filmmakers about the art and business of cinematic storytelling.”

This year’s selections focus on topics such as death, artificial intelligence, transgender artists, and freedom of speech. For full information about each movie, visit 41northfilmfest.mtu.edu.

The festival is sponsored by Michigan Tech’s Department of Humanities, Department of Visual and Performing Arts, the College of Sciences and Arts, and the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts.
