Taking Up Space
Lynn Mazzoleni unveils latest collection

HANCOCK – Local artist Lynn Mazzoleni has announced she is launching her newest fine art collection, “Taking UP Space,” at her studio, located at 116 Quincy Street, from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The event is free and open to the public, featuring live music by Jenny Ciurro and light refreshments in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.
In a Monday press release from Kayla Jaynes, executive assistant and branch manager, Taking Up Space is a bold collection that explores themes of feminine presence and the reclamation of personal power through large-format acrylic and oil works. True to Lynn’s expressive style, this series celebrates unapologetic visibility, commanding pigments, and deeply personal storytelling through color and composition.
“This work honors the quiet and not-so-quiet ways women reclaim space in a world that’s long asked us to stay small,” Mazzoleni explains in the release.”It’s fierce. It’s tender. It’s a celebration of what happens when we stop asking for permission and start showing up as our full selves.”
This collection will be on display through the summer season. Attendees at the launch event will get the
first look at these powerful new pieces and will have the opportunity to speak with Lynn about her
inspiration and creative process.
“The gallery opened in December,”Jaynes said. The space is divided into a gallery to display Mazzoleni’s works, her studio, and a loft that is a community-type studio, called the Color Lab, said Jayes.
Mazzoleni’s website describes the Color Lab as a place to be that isn’t work and isn’t home. It is a community art studio available under a pay per use model. It’s a place to explore, dream, socialize, disconnect, ground, play, and, of course, embrace your creativity.
Currently, the hours of the studio and gallery are:
Tuesday – Friday 2-6 p.m.
Saturdays 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday Noon – 4p.m.
