Buellwood Weavers and Fiber Artists Guild Invitational Exhibition at CCCAC
HANCOCK — The new exhibition in the Kerredge Gallery at the Copper Country Community Arts Center is the Buellwood Weavers and Fiber Artists Guild Invitational. The Buellwood Weaver’s Guild began with Dorothea Buell in Chassell in the early 1950s. She had 17 looms at her home and started a 17-member weaving guild. The guild has expanded to include a wide range of fiber arts. Participation has grown to more than 40 active guild members including artists who spin, dye, knit, felt, quilt, bead, punch needle, and make baskets.
Members participating in this exhibition are: Jade Bolthouse, Nathan Corson, Nancy Crowell, Phyllis Fredendall, John Gale, Sue Goslee, Gretchen Hein, David Hunter, Mary Markham, Anne Karjala-Dobbins, Vicky Marino, Marci Schneider, Anita Sharkus, Karen Tembreull, and Clare Zuraw.
Everyone is welcome to the opening reception on Thursday, June 11, from 6-7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. The Buellwood Weavers and Fiber Artists Guild Invitational Exhibition will be on display in the Kerredge Gallery June 3-July 3, 2026. The Kerredge Gallery is located in the Copper Country Community Arts Center at 126 Quincy Street in Hancock.
