HOUGHTON - After last year's record-breaking 25th Anniversary, the Rozsa Center invites the public doors toits 2026/27 season. This year the Rozsa Presenting Series offers amazing original music, dance, humor, acrobatics, talented puppies and a Tony Award winning Broadway show. In the fall of 2026, Detroit Metropolitan Dance, formerly known as Eisenhower Dance Detroit, begins the Rozsa's season with Shift, a bold program capturing this company's defining moment as they transform into their new identity. The Akropolis Reed Quintet join forces with composer and jazz pianist Pascal Le Boeuf, and jazz drummer Christian Euman, to perform new music you've never heard of and ask, Are We Dreaming the Same Dream?
In mid-October, Hadestown, winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best Musical, takes the Rozsa stage with a mythic love story for today, and always.
Grammy-winner Terrance Simien and his band The Zydeco Experience bring a hypnotic blend of New Orleans zydeco roots with funk, reggae, world and blues grooves. And Los Angeles' premiere up-and-coming Asian American a cappella group, Filosophy hosts a holiday
concert for the whole family.
Late Night Programming and the Rozsa start 2027 off by presenting this year's Winter Carnival Comedian, Ashley Gavin, known for her rare ability to authentically engage and improvise with audiences while on stage. Cirque Kalabante's acrobatics transforms art
into dialogue, and movement into a universal language with their immersive show WOW,
World of Words. Then, the Rozsa caps off the season with mankind's best friends in Puppy
Pals LIVE, a family fun action-packed show where adopted and rescued dogs perform
spectacular stunts and breathtaking feats.
If all of these shows sound interesting, you may want to take advantage of the
Rozsa's new $300 Presenting Series Season Ticket Package. Available July 23, 2026, two
weeks before general tickets go on sale, the package includes a ticket to each Presenting
Series show, early bird access to choose your preferred seating, and free concierge service
if you choose to transfer your tickets, or adjust your seat or show date at any time.
"This felt like the year to bring back season tickets, because this season is
extraordinary." Says Rozsa Executive Director Kiersten Birondo, "Every show in this lineup is
going to be an incredible experience for our community, most taking multiple years of
planning to make happen. The Broadway tour of Hadestown alone has been three years in
the making."
Season Tickets will be available at rozsatickets.com beginning Thursday, July 23 at
11:11pm. On August 6, 2026 at 11:11pm individual Presenting Series tickets will become
