COPPER HARBOR -- This weekend is the third weekend in the Monday of August, which means it’s time once again for the Annual Copper Art in The Park taking place both Saturday and Sunday in Donny Kilpela Memorial Park in Copper Harbor, Michigan!
The event always falls on the third weekend of August and is a juried art fair featuring fine arts and crafts. More than 60 artists are participating from around the midwest with some traveling as far away as Texas, New Orleans and Florida.
Some of the mediums displayed are: paintings, jewelry, photography, ceramics, textiles, metal work, glass and more.
Stroll through the newly landscaped park and enjoy live music both days with a cookout sponsored by the Grant Township Volunteer Fire Department, featuring brats, hot dogs and corn on the cob. While you are here, don't forget to stop in the community center for the bake sale. Saturday’s music from noon to 4 p.m. features the 2XL Band with Classic Rock and Roll. On Sunday the music starts at 1 p.m. with the Art in the Park Reunion Band, performing until 4 p.m.
The show’s hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
This event runs rain or shine and is truly a Keweenaw summer highlight you don't want to miss with family and friends!
