Great Lakes Accounting celebrates four years in downtown Houghton

Lucinda Enderby, CPA, president of Great Lakes Accounting, PC, has over thirty years of experience in public accounting working with individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts and estates. In Santa Barbara, California she was a partner in the accounting firm of Gaeden, Enderby & Company, CPA’s for eighteen years before moving to the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 2007. Over the years, she has enjoyed working closely with her clients on taxes and tax planning including reviewing the impact of investments decisions, planning for business succession, estate and trust planning for families, and cash flow issues. In the area of planning, her goal is to listen to your concerns and goals and provide you with the information that you need to make decisions. She is committed to providing clients with the highest quality of service, to being actively involved in the community, and supporting and implementing environmentally friendly policies in the office and in the community. This year we are celebrating four years of providing professional services in downtown Houghton.

Amy Haggenmiller, a graduate of Northern Michigan University, is our senior staff accountant. She brings comprehensive experience in non-profit accounting, federal & state financial reporting, documentation, public accounting, financial management & analysis, bidding on contracts, cash management, budget preparation and administration, and benefit negotiation. She has experience in conducting internal audits and compliance reviews, and fraud investigations. She is professional, proactive and results oriented making her an invaluable member of the Great Lakes Accounting professional team.

Carl F. Johnson, CPA, has joined our professional staff. He is coming to Great Lakes Accounting from his CPA career in Lower Michigan where he has provided tax, consulting, payroll, bookkeeping and auditing services to clients for over 27 years. He has worked with large regional CPA firms in the Grand Rapids and Flint, MI areas. “It is exciting for me to be able to work with a well-known, quality CPA firm like Great Lakes Accounting”, Johnson stated. “Being able to provide high level tax and consulting products are services I think people in the Copper Country will appreciate.” Johnson is originally from the Baraga area. He is the son of late Baraga Basketball Coach, Carl “Cookie” Johnson and Verna Johnson. He, his wife Kim, and daughter Mikala have wanted to return home for quite some time and it will be a welcome change for all of them.
