ONTONAGON — The Citizens State Bank of Ontonagon is pleased to announce that Ann M. Lantz has been named Market President for the Bank’s operations in Ontonagon. Ann will replace Willie Dupont, who recently resigned to take a position with the Village of Ontonagon.

Ann is a seasoned bank executive with local roots. Ann brings expertise in mortgage, commercial and consumer lending, as well as private banking, personnel management, and community development. “We are thrilled to have Ann join our growing organization. She will bring a fresh approach and a new level of energy to the Ontonagon market,” said Dan Fischer, President and CEO of Citizens Bancshares. The Bank was purchased earlier this year by Michigan entrepreneur Chris Yatooma, who plans to grow the Bank in SE Michigan while reinvesting in the Ontonagon Market. The Bank will move next spring to the IGA shopping center to a new facility and plans to donate the downtown location. “This move will allow the Bank to provide our customers with a new level of convenience, customer service, and the latest technology. Donating the building is an opportunity for community development, and we plan to support the transition project with a number of different resources,” said Mr. Yatooma.

I am excited about the vote of confidence that Chris and Dan have shown by their planned investment in the community. I look forward to leading the Bank through this change with the spirit and tradition of Citizens State Bank, which has been a staple in the community for over 100 years,” said Lantz.

Ann is a native of the Copper Country and lives with her family in Toivola. In her free time, Ann enjoys fishing, camping, gardening, and is an avid quilter.
